Boycott Petition in response to FOX's OJ Simpson television program
This petition is to the CEO of the FOX broadcasting company concerning the television program entitled "OJ Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened" that is set to air on the 27th and 29th of November, 2006.
The undersigned agree to boycott FOX and FOX’s advertisers unless the show is pulled from scheduling because they do not condone the sensationalist broadcasting of violence, particularly domestic violence.
Mr. Liguori,
We, the undersigned, believe that your upcoming television program, “OJ Simpson: If I Did It, Here’s How It Happened” should be pulled from FOX’s scheduling. We do not condone violence, particularly domestic violence, and believe that this program will not only benefit Mr. Simpson and the upcoming release of his book.
Let us be very clear in that this petition has nothing to do with the murders of Ronald Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. Regardless of Mr. Simpson’s guilt or innocence, this program shows an alarming disrespect for the Brown and Goldman family, survivors and victims of domestic violence, and life itself.
Every day, more than three women are murdered by their boyfriends or husbands in this country. 1,247 women and 440 men were killed by an intimate partner in 2000. Knowing this, we do not believe that there is ANY redeeming educational or entertaining value in Mr. Simpson’s show. In fact, we believe it to be harmful and alarming.
We will be boycotting your channels and products. We will also be boycotting your advertisers, which include but are not limited to: Ford Motor Company, American Honda Motor Company, Chattem, Inc, Overstock.com, Bitiband, Taco Bell, Pfizer, Proctor and Gamble, The Coca Cola Company, General Motors, Sears, Carat USA, Optimedia, Starcom MediaVest, AT&T, Kraft Foods, Verizon, Toyota, Capital One, KIA, Blockbuster, McDonalds, Slim Fast, and Burger King Skriv underSkriv underSe flere underskriftsindsamlinger:
