Tell Congress: Restore the Voting Rights Act

President Barack Obama recently said of the state of our country's voting rights:

"Right now, in 2015, fifty years after Selma, there are laws across this country designed to make it harder for people to vote...

Meanwhile, the Voting Rights Act, the culmination of so much blood and sweat and tears, the product of so much sacrifice in the face of wanton violence, stands weakened, its future subject to partisan rancor."

After much Republican delay, President Obama recently called on Congress to restore the Voting Rights Act, an essential protection for minority voters in battleground states across the country.

The right to vote is a fundamental cornerstone of our democracy - we cannot allow those rights to be trampled on like they have been in the past.

Take action today: Send a message today calling on Congress to stop playing games and restore the Voting Rights Act immediately.
