Protect Access to Life-Changing Veteran Support Programs

Transitioning back into civilian life is daunting, frustrating, lonely, and an experience that only veterans who have been there could ever understand.

For Sharod, a Marine Corps veteran, finding employment, housing, and food assistance proved to be extremely difficult during his transition back into civilian life. Sharod and his family of six were living out of their car because of a series of post-service-connected complications, so he reached out for help.

Sharod's veteran support team worked to help him find a new job, and move his family into a safe, furnished apartment.

Sharod now works in local city government, connecting veteran and military-affiliated residents with entrepreneurial training courses and support opportunities.

Countless veterans share the same story as Sharod. That's why it is essential that organizations like Syracuse University's Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) continue to improve lives with their veteran career training and support programs.

No service member should have to face their unique challenges alone, but all veterans deserve a chance to live their best life. If you believe in the power of life-changing veteran success programs, pledge your support by signing up to hear more from the IVMF.
