Oppose rezoning of Neighborhood Preservation District for Institutional Expansion

This petition is in preparation for the FINAL consideration of rezoning the properties of 1610 and 1612 Oxmoor Rd (residential properties within our Neighborhood Preservation District, NPD) to Institutitonal (I-2) for expansion of the Exceptional Foundation.  

Expansion of the Exceptional Foundation requires rezoning of homewood's NPD.  If this expansion is approved, the residential properties at 1610 and 1612 Oxmoor Rd would be removed to allow for a parking lot/spaces and expansion of the current building structure of the Exceptional Foundation.  A new entrance is also proposed by the EF at this location.  This decision creates a precedent for residential areas in this district to not be preserved.  All neighborhood residents of Homewood should sign.
