Put The Power Back In the Hands Of The People. Move H.R.1 Forward!

Voters sent a clear message in the 2018 election — they were ready to put power back in the hands of the people through bold, comprehensive democracy reforms.

And the U.S. House of Representatives has responded with a key piece of legislation — the For the People Act (H.R. 1). This legislation will protect voting rights with reforms like modernizing and updating the Voting Rights Act, passing automatic voter registration and same-day registration, and establishing strong redistricting guidelines to combat voter suppression.

Elections should be free, fair, and accessible to all eligible voters, however, our current system is anything but ideal. H.R, 1 would be a tremendous step forward.

Currently, the U.S. House is moving this legislation through committee hearings and on to final passage. We must continue building momentum to pass this important legislation. You have the power to influence this reform, and it will take all of us, working together, to speak out and demand change.
