Tell Secretary Mayorkas: No Child Is Illegal

No child is illegal. But when unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children arrive at our borders seeking safety after fleeing horrible violence and trauma, they are treated like criminals and thrown into a harrowing immigration process with virtually no support.

KIND works with thousands of these children fighting to get them the legal and social services they need to be safe, secure, and treated with dignity and respect. And with the discriminatory Title 42 policy over, children seeking safety at our border need our help more than ever.

If you believe every child deserves to be treated fairly and equally by the U.S. immigration system, please add your name and tell Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas that no child is illegal. Thank you.
Dear Secretary Mayorkas:

I'm joining Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) today to remind you that no child is illegal. Every child, especially unaccompanied refugee children, must be treated with care, dignity, and respect when they enter the United States.

But all too often, when unaccompanied refugee children arrive at our borders seeking safety and fleeing horrible violence and trauma, they are treated like common criminals.

This must change. No child is illegal – and all children deserve so much more from our immigration process and systems.

Please, take immediate action to support vulnerable unaccompanied and separated children who need safety and support as they seek asylum in the United States.
