Australia: End Indigenous Disparity in This Generation

In October 2010, Madeleine Madden, a 13-year-old Indigenous girl, addressed Australia about closing the disparity gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous citizens in one generation. People heeded Maddy's call to action: They spread the message on Twitter and raised the issue in Parliament.

The message was clear: Australians want to end indigenous disparity in this generation.

GenerationOne's policy for specific training for guaranteed jobs won bipartisan support before the 2010 election. Now, it needs your help to spread the word and grow the movement in time for its one-year anniversary on March 19. Join 91,000 Australians helping to close the opportunity gap between Maddy and the rest of her countrymen. Take the pledge:

- MENTOR to become a real hero
- Make sure your BUSINESS or WORKPLACE has an Indigenous employment strategy
- Spead the word in your COMMUNITY
- Support EDUCATION efforts to for Indigenous children
- Advocate for SUSTAINABLE EMPLOYMENT for Indigenous job seekers
