It’s Time to Change the Headlines
Throughout 2016 we've been shocked by the rhetoric of some of the press, demonising migrants and refugees as an invasion, flood, or even "cockroaches".
Divisive, negative media like this fuels hate crime and encourages reactive policies that reduce migrant rights as the government panders to the press, rather than tackling the real problems. Global Justice Now is campaigning to humanise the debate on migration and challenge the policies currently responsible for the persecution of migrants in the UK, Europe and further afield.
We want to see more responsible reporting on migration in 2017. Sign our petition and tell the Daily Mail to change their headlines!

In the coming year, I hope to see the Daily Mail promote goodwill to ALL people and stop its demonising of migrants. I would like to see a more compassionate attitude towards those seeking refuge or a better life, whether in the UK or elsewhere in the world.
