Stop the Cycle of Crisis in the Sahel

More than 18 million people in the Sahel region of West and Central Africa are facing a desperate shortage of food. The world knows how to stop this cycle of crisis, and yet it is allowed to continue.

Six countries in the region already have long-term, vetted plans to give people the tools they need to lift themselves and their families out of hunger and poverty. And some of the world's most powerful countries have pledged to help fund these plans. But unless they act right now, these plans will just gather dust.

Call on governments to support plans for long-term investment in farming to help end the cycle of crisis.
Dear Word Leaders,

As you act urgently to fund the UN's humanitarian appeal in the Sahel, please also support their plans for long-term investment in farming to help end the cycle of crisis.
