Tell the U.S. Senate: Protect voting rights now!

Since Democrats won majorities in both chambers of the General Assembly in 2019, Virginia has dramatically expanded access to the ballot box.

But in states across the country, legislatures have passed 30 bills restricting voting rights this year. These measures are often targeted at groups including students and people of color. But what does it say about the GOP if they want to make it harder for people to participate in our democracy?

Earlier this year, the U.S. House passed the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act in order to (1) establish federal standards for elections and (2) restore and strengthen parts of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

But now, both bills are stuck in the narrowly divided U.S. Senate. Will you sign on now to call on the U.S. Senate to follow Virginia's example by voting to protect and expand voting rights?
