Support LGBT Older Adults

LGBT older adults have lived through things that many people do not have to deal with: a lifetime of stigma, discrimination and social isolation. Now, as they age, they have unique needs that should be met by providers across the country.
In February 2010, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded a landmark grant to establish the country's first and only resource center specifically for supporting LGBT older adults. The site launched on Oct. 12, 2010.
This remarkable resource will help aging providers, LGBT organizations and LGBT older adults get the information and tools they need to address these unique concerns.
The website offers resources on issues from caregiving to housing, from HIV and aging, to planning for long-term care, and more.
This site ensures that LGBT older adults receive the care they need to age with the dignity and respect they deserve. Please sign this pledge to support the amazing work of the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging.
