Legalize Gay Marriage in PA

This is to ask the Governor to overturn the House Bill 2604 Printer Number 3513 that banned same-sex marriage in PA and makes same-sex marriages elsewhere unrecognized.
The undersigned ask that the governor overturn House Bill 2604 (1996) which defined marriage as "A civil contract by which one man and one woman take each other for husband and wife." It also states that same-sex marriages performed elsewhere will not be recognized by the state of Pennyslvania ("A marriage between persons of the same sex, which was entered into in another state or foreign jurisdiction, even if valid where entered into, shall be void in this Commonwealth.").

We ask the governor to strike this law and thereby make out-of-state same-sex marriages legally recognized.

The undersigned assert as well that there should be state-recognized same-sex marriage in the Commonwealth of Pennyslvania. Alternatively, a civil union which includes all of the same exact rights as a marriage does and differs only in name and no other way would be acceptable.
