Support fair pay in our lifetime!

Fact: Women in the United States—who work full time, year round—are still paid only $0.79 for every dollar paid to men. And African American women and Latinas are paid even less.

Fact: These women are paid, on average, nearly $11,000 less per year than men.

Fact: It will take more than 40 years to close the wage gap at the current pace.

These are all tough facts to face. But you can help turn these facts into fiction and help make wage discrimination a thing of the past.

Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) introduced the Paycheck Fairness Act to help stop discrimination and advance wage equality for women.

Congress has no higher priority than to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act.

Wage inequality threatens the economic security of our nation's families. And at the National Partnership for Women & Families, we get it. We've been standing up, speaking out and fighting for fair pay for women since 1971.

By adding your name, you'll join thousands of men and women across the country taking a stand for women and working families.

The stakes are high, and we need your help today. Tell your senators to support the Paycheck Fairness Act now.
[Senator]:

I urge you to support the Paycheck Fairness Act to help close the gender-based wage gap that punishes women and families.

Women make up half of our workforce, and fair pay is not just a women's issue ─ it's a family issue.

Fair pay will strengthen the economic security of our nation's families—and our nation—because when women do better, families do better and our nation prospers.
