Sign if You Agree: Australia Commits to Welfare Assurances for Horses Shipped Overseas

  • af: Georgia B
  • mottagare: Barnaby Joyce, Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources

Under current laws, Australian horses, ponies and donkeys can be exported overseas for slaughter without any supply chain assurances, according to a report on theaustralian.com.au.

All other livestock species originating from Australia, including cattle, sheep and buffalo are subject to strict assurances that guarantee animal welfare standards.

Live export should end for all animals but until that battle is won, horses, ponies and donkeys MUST be subject to animal welfare assurances to minimise suffering.

Will you please join me in demanding the Australian Government takes action to create animal welfare assurances for all equine animals shipped overseas. Please sign and share the petition.
