Going through cancer treatment without the right mental health support can damage a young person for life

The lack of mental health support when you have cancer at a young age can be very damaging – physically, mentally and emotionally. If they miss out on our vital support during this period, it can damage them for life.

Before the pandemic, a study exploring mental health of young people with cancer during treatment showed 90% reported anxiety, 83% felt loneliness, 70% faced depression, and 42% experienced panic attacks.

There is growing disparity in the treatment and care for young people with cancer, compounded by the growing pressure on our services, it's critical we improve access.

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to providing this specialist care and support so no young person with cancer is left behind.

Will you help Teenage Cancer Trust to ensure that every young person with cancer has access to the right treatment and support from Day 1? Sign today!
