Share the Story of Sudanese Refugees

More than 170,000 refugees have made the harrowing journey across the border to South Sudan to escape conflict and food insecurity in Sudan. Tens of thousands of people arrive to find refugee camps overcrowded and unable to provide basic, life-sustaining essentials.

I pledge to assist Sudanese refugees by telling the world about this humanitarian crisis.

Many refugees must walk for weeks and arrive at the camps in a weak and vulnerable condition. An average of five children are dying each day in the Yida refugee camp and one in three children is malnourished in the Batil refugee camp.

The death rates at these camps are double the emergency threshold. Most of these children are dying from diarrhea and severe infections.

The situation in South Sudan is dire -- but we can help. Spread the word about the refugees in South Sudan and bring attention to the people trying to survive this crisis.
