Send A Message of Hope to LGBT Kids in Foster Care

We keep telling LGBT kids "It gets better," but what if we could make life better for them now?

Some LGBT kids in foster care face a terrible choice: stay quiet about their identity and "pass" until they age out, or accept their true identity and risk abuse or being kicked out of their homes. What kind of choice is that for a child to make?

Send these brave young people a message of hope.

No child can thrive without a stable home environment, but children who fall outside of social norms need special support from caring adults who cherish them for exactly who they are.

The LGBT Community Center has been working to help provide more long-term, stable, loving placements for LGBT youth in foster care. With a welcoming home environment, these children won't have to choose between their identity and stability.

Send a message of hope to LGBT kids in foster care.
I'm writing to let you know that I support you!

I know it can't be easy to try to figure out so much as a child, but you are not alone. People like me support you even though we've never met!

I know that things may have been hard, but don't lose hope. You are a wonderful child with a wonderful future ahead of you!

Sincerely,
