It goes without saying that Bush has ample room for improvement when it comes to protecting workers' rights. If your work isn't up to par, you will hear about it from your boss.
It's time for President Bush to hear about his job performance.
Tell President Bush:
- Don't bust federal employees' unions – Allow federal employees to join a union freely and fairly. That means no more unionbusting consultants or bureaucratic delays.
- Stop outsourcing the federal government – A member of your cabinet, Elaine Chao, tried to outsource hundreds of jobs from the Department of Labor instead of protecting them!
- Pledge to sign the Employee Free Choice Act – A majority of Congress voted for this critical legislation - the veto threats must end!
- Appoint judges who will respect workers' rights and not dismantle laws – Replace the two anti-union judges on the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) when their terms expire with judges who will stand up for workers’ rights.
Send your "performance review," and remind President Bush the nation is paying attention!
Dear President Bush,
Since you first took office six years ago, our country continues to witness an unprecedented rollback of workers' rights. Consider this your 'performance review.'
Recommendations for Improvement:
- Don't bust federal employees' unions.
- Stop outsourcing the federal government.
- Pledge to sign the Employee Free Choice Act.
- Appoint judges who protect workers' rights instead of dismantling laws.
