Get Canada to support democracy in Lebanon

The assassination of the former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Al-Hariri and more than a dozen others have shocked the conscience of the world.

While the people behind it have not yet been found, the Syrian occupation has been deemed illegal and immoral by the international community and manifests itself not only in military but economic and political terms as well.

Therefore, we, the undersigned, call upon the Government of Canada to recall its ambassador to Syria and impose sanctions on the government of Syria until U.N. resolution 1559 is respected and all foreign troops are withdrawn from Lebanon.
