Tell Conservatives to Stop Undermining Public Health Care

Stephen Harper's Conservatives had years to improve public health care. Instead, they let the 2004 Health Care Accord expire and unilaterally adopted a new funding formula that is now threatening one of the most prized public services for Canadians.

Stephen Harper's Conservatives are downloading heath care costs onto the provinces and turning their backs on a system that Canadians have relied on for generations.

As a result, we see longer wait times, reduced-front-line services, and lack of access to home and long term care in many parts of the country.

This is unacceptable. The government has a responsibility to ensure quality health care for all of its citizens. That's why New Democrats are calling on Stephen Harper to immediately work with provinces and territories to improve our public health care system.

Take action today: Call on the Conservatives to stop undermining public health care and start working on real solutions.
