Stand Up for Egypt's Peaceful Protesters

On the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, Egyptian military police in riot gear forcibly pushed protesters out of Tahrir Square. As they tore down signs and shot rubber bullets, one soldier said, "We're clearing out the trash."
Hundreds of protesters have been sleeping in the square since July 8, calling for the substantial change that has failed to take place since the military council took control of Egypt in February. Most of the current protesters are relatives of the 900 people killed by Mubarak-era officials during the uprising.
Despite pleas from protesters, Egypt's rulers have continued to use military trials for civilians, along with other repressive tactics from the Mubarak regime, to stop dissent. Now, Egyptian leaders have turned yet again to violence.
Egyptians have a right to peacefully protest the country's continuing human rights violation. Tell Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to stand up for Egyptian protesters today!
I am writing to urge you to take a stand for Egyptian protesters in light of the Tahrir Square takeover on Monday, August 1.
When the current Egyptian military council took control of the country, they promised citizens that they would stop the use of Mubarak's infamous repression tactics. But despite continuing pleas from protesters, Egypt's rulers have not yet implemented the promised changes. Considering the recent takeover of Tahrir Square, it is clear that Egypt's new rulers have little respect for peaceful dissent.
Please join me in demanding justice for Egyptian protesters. Tell the Egyptian military council to respect the wishes of its citizenry and take positive action on behalf of Egypt's people.
