Give Hope to Orphan Refugees

"I was playing outside when our house crumbled," says young Hala, a Syrian refugee living in Lebanon. "I saw people carrying my mom downstairs."

With her mother gone, Hala is known around the refugee camp as 'the orphan' and is easily spotted by her winter hat, which hides her hair loss from trauma. Even as she copes with the stress, Hala acts as the caregiver of the family and does her best to bring normalcy to the daily struggle. She misses out on school — she has a family to tend to.

Hala is but one in over a million Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Half of them are children. The numbers grow and needs intensify daily. In such a critical time, it's easy for orphaned children like Hala to lose hope.

That's why it's so valuable to show your support today. Please send a message of hope to orphaned refugees to let them know: "you have not been forgotten. You are not invisible. You are not alone."
