Sign If You Agree: We Need Action on Gun Violence

As a former Colorado teacher and principal, and as a father of three school-aged kids, I refuse to accept a Congress that won't do its job to prevent school shootings.

Our teachers are expected to take on multiple roles -- educators, social workers, and tragically, human shields. Our law enforcement officers are running into buildings with active shooters not thinking for a minute about what the dangers might be to them.

But Senator Cory Gardner and his Republican colleagues have taken no real action to address this crisis. If Washington had the courage to do its job, we could help keep Coloradans and all Americans safe from gun violence by taking real, commonsense steps to put an end to this crisis. I'm running against Cory Gardner, whose inaction on this urgent issue can be explained by his nearly $4M in campaign funds from the NRA.

If you agree with me that we need to act now -- particularly to ban assault rifles and implement universal background checks -- please join this fight.
