Demand the stop of trasforming Cleveland and Woodrow Elementary in Specialized Learning Academy

Port Huron Schools will be transforming Cleveland Elementary into a Kindergarten through 2nd grade Literacy Academy whose students will graduate to Woodrow Wilson's new 3rd through 5th grade S.T.E.A.M. Academy, the 2018/2019 school year. Parents do not wish to have only k through 2nd at Cleveland and 3rd through 5th at Woodrow. Parents would like to continue having our Elementary schools k-5th . We also do not wish to have the schools a full specialized learning Academy. Parents do like some of the resources the program offers and will compromise adapting the new academic support systems if our grades remain at the schools. Superintendent and principals saying this is set in stone. The school board of education just found out about this change on Thursday. It has NOT been voted on by the board. Why lie to the families of these schools?
