Will you pledge to stand up for the women who make your clothes?

Imagine working in a garment factory. Feeling under constant pressure to meet strict deadlines. Noisy, hot, long hours and low pay.

And then that leering manager who keeps telling you what he'd like to do to you if he gets you alone.

Calling out sexual harassment and abuse is hugely difficult for women everywhere. But when you're a garment worker, standing up to your boss might well mean losing your job. It could mean losing an income that your whole family depends on.

Shocking research in many of the factories supplying clothes to UK high streets revealed that nearly 1 in 3 women workers had experienced violence and harassment as part of their job.

CARE International is campaigning to cut out violence and abuse at work. UK fashion companies must insist that abuse is never tolerated by their suppliers.
