Global warming is perhaps THE moral issue of our time since it
impacts all of God's creation and future generations. Scientists now agree that global warming is caused by human
activity and it is imperative for us to act now to avoid catastrophic global warming events.
Right now, Congress is paying attention to global warming and debating proposals to cut our nation's contribution to
global warming. This is great time for people of faith to speak for vulnerable communities who will be most impacted by
climate change and for God's precious species.

As you consider legislation to curb global warming we hope that you will support legislation that demonstrates love and protection of Gods people and planet. As people of faith, we advocate for sustainable and responsible use of energy sources that will not endanger the lives of vulnerable communities who are threatened by global warming's impacts (and who are least able to mitigate these impacts). Any global warming legislation should promote stewardship of all of Gods creation. Please have a heart and this Valentines Day for Gods people and planet.
