Immigrants Are Not Aliens: Remove The Word "Alien" From ALL Legal Documentation Regarding Immigrants/Immigration

Since the dawn of WWII, the term "alien" has been used to depict someone entering a country from which they are not a citizen of. Today, we witness the mistreatment of said individuals, more specifically in the United States, as it relates to comments and policies of current 45th President, Donald J. Trump. Chances are when you think about aliens, the images that pop into your mind are not that of people, but of some strange other-worldly being like E.T. or some fleshing-eating beast such as that of the AVP saga. If that's the case, why do we use this term to describe those of our own kind in the legal system, the highest laws of the land? We have several other, less negative terms, such as, "legal/illegal immigrants," "foreigner," or "naturalized citizen."
