Take action on alcohol harm

"I've seen people lose their lives and sustain serious injuries because of alcohol. Others have been cut off from their family and friends because of their addiction. The Government needs to recognise that alcohol is a highly addictive drug and should be doing more." Dave Angel, Homeless Hostel Support Worker

80 people are dying every day from alcohol across the UK and the UK Government is not doing enough to stop this.

Alcohol can have a devastating impact on people's lives. Alcohol harm doesn't only impact the person who drinks, but also their friends, family and our society as a whole.

Last year, deaths from alcohol were the highest on record. And yet, the UK Government hasn't updated its alcohol strategy in almost a decade.

It doesn't have to be that way.

It is time for the UK Government to step up. We need a new alcohol strategy that reduces harm, saves lives and provides support to people who need it. Sign if you agree.
