Support Mothers and Children in South Sudan

In South Sudan's remote, rural communities maternal and child mortality rates are among some of the highest in the world. In a country where more than half the population don't have enough to eat, new mothers are often left to wonder how they will feed their children.

But hope and health are coming to one of the most challenging environments on Earth. Local midwives are being empowered to take on new roles as health assistants. Families are receiving seeds, tools and training to ensure they can produce enough food to improve nutrition for their young children. More precious lives are being saved every day.

Progress has not come easy. Last year, heavy rains and flooding made reaching many communities very difficult, and security threats are an ongoing concern. These rural communities remain incredibly dangerous places for mothers and children. Show your support, send a message of hope to all the health workers and community leaders working for the future of mothers in South Sudan.
