Illinois Needs a Governor Who Will Resist Trump

It seems like every day Donald Trump is president, he raises a new threat to our country. He is actively working to dismantle healthcare. He is waging war on science and refuses to acknowledge climate change. He is attacking education funding. He infringes on the civil rights of the LGBT community, immigrant families and people of color. He undermines every principle that defines this country and makes us strong.

But where is Bruce Rauner while Illinois is threatened by Trump's devastating agenda? He is silent.

We need a governor who will stand up and fight back, not a governor who works to further Trump's policies.

As governor, I will make sure Illinois is a firewall against Donald Trump's destructive agenda and hateful rhetoric. I will fight to protect and expand health care for all of our families, invest in education, defend our environment, stand with our immigrant families, and fight for civil rights.
