Tell GoFundMe: Don't Associate Abortion with Terrorism and Crime!
Women who seek abortion care are NOT like terrorists and criminals.
GoFundMe, the popular crowdfunding site, has just listed abortion as prohibited content on its site. The safe and completely legal medical practice of abortion has been categorized alongside terrorism, assassination, drug use and many more criminal activities!
GoFundMe is a platform to raise money for personal projects or issues that you care about. Many even use these sites for medical emergencies. But for millions of American women, funding for one crucial medical practice is now prohibited — abortion.
One in three women in America will have an abortion in her lifetime. When GoFundMe prohibits abortion funding, it places stigma, shame and judgment on women trying to exercise their reproductive rights.
Together we can call out GoFundMe for its disregard for women's rights. Sign the petition to tell GoFundMe to remove abortion from its list of prohibited content.

I am extremely appalled that abortion has been listed among GoFundMe's prohibited content, alongside terrorism and criminal activities. Not only is abortion a safe and standard medical practice, but it is completely legal. By restricting people from raising money to help pay for an abortion you are alienating millions of American women who access their right to abortion.
