Tell the UK to Protect a Woman's Right To Choose

For women, abortions can be a traumatic, sometimes painful experience. The vast majority of women who have chosen to have an abortion have certainly not made the decision lightly. But in the UK, the Department of Health is planning to introduce new "counseling requirements" for women seeking abortion, considerably increasing the emotional pain involved in the procedure.

These "counseling requirements" will strip abortion providers of the right to provide pre-abortion counseling. In their place, anti-choice groups will have the opportunity to attempt to misinform and dissuade women from accessing abortion.

These proposed requirements are unnecessary, threaten women's access to impartial information and may create health-compromising delays. Tell the British Parliament to reject them today!
