Tell the Oklahoma National Museum and Memorial to include bombing hero Sgt. Terry Yeakey !

  • af: Tonia Yeakey
  • mottagare: Kari Watkins, Executive Director
  • Sgt. Terry Yeakey was an Oklahoma City Police Officer and first responder to the Murrah Building Bombing on April 19, 1995.
  • He saved at least seven survivors from the rubble that awful day, including one board member associated with the memorial.
  • He was removed from the memorial after a controversial suicide death finding in 1996 by the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office.  Since his death, the Medical Examiner's office has lost it's accreditation and many families are now asking for new trials for their loved one's suicide findings under a senate bill passed last year by Govenor Mary Fallin.
  • From day one of the rescue operation, Sgt. Yeakey expressed his doubts in the accuracy and validity of the crime scene investigation. Sgt. Yeakey was not given an autopsy after his sudden and very violent suicide.
  • His wife and children have written two letters to the Memorial this past year asking them to place a picture and short tribute to their loved and didn't even recieve a response.

Answer the call to help his family restore the legacy and honor of a noble man by telling the Oklahoma National Memorial that ignoring a hero is unacceptable!   Friend us on facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/#!/terry.yeakey
