All current and retired U.S. Senators and Representatives should have Medicare as their primary insu

I believe that all elected government offficials should have the same insurance coverage as the American people, whom they represent.  If they are promoting the general welfare, shouldn't they be included as part of the "general" population.  I don't think it is appropriate for them to be voting on Medicare funding when they are not affected by that vote.  This Congress has a disproportionate unfavorability rating, something around 90%.  Perhaps they should be forced to live as the rest of Americans do, not as monarchs reigning over a kingdom.

Abraham Lincoln, in the Gettysburg Address, stated that this government "of the people, by the people, and for the people, shall not perish from this earth."  What possible form of government would exempt them from living as the "people" they act on behalf of excepting monarchy, the cause of rebellion of the original thirteen colonies.
