Terminally-Ill Nevadans Do Not Have Time to Wait: Pass Medical Aid in Dying

Since 2017, lawmakers in Nevada have introduced a bill to authorize medical aid in dying in the Silver State, but this critical and compassionate legislation has not had the support in the Nevada Assembly or Senate to become law. Terminally ill Nevada residents do not have time to wait. Sign this petition to join our movement and urge your lawmakers to make medical aid in dying a priority in 2023.

The majority of Nevadans (72%) believe that they should have the full range of choices at the end of life, including medical aid in dying. This compassionate end-of-life care option would allow terminally ill, mentally capable adults to request medication to peacefully end their suffering if it becomes unbearable.

Passage and enactment of a law authorizing medical aid in dying would empower all Nevadans to make end-of-life care decisions based on their unique cultures, beliefs, and spiritual values, and ensure everyone has equal access to the full range of end-of-life care options.

Terminally-ill Nevadans do not have time to wait. Make medical aid in dying a priority in 2023.
