We the undersigned residents of the 2nd Ward of Chicago, are asking for our representative, Friends of North Branch Park and Nature Preserve, to discuss a public park within the development to be built between North Avenue and Webster Avenue.

The plans for the Sterling Bay Development are unfolding and we want to learn the opinion of Alderman Brain Hopkins towards development of a park. There are many ways to finance the park that won't put the burden on the taxpayers of Chicago. Also, there is a history of recently designed parks being developed along the Chicago River every 2 - 2 1/2 miles, beginning with La Villetas Park, Canal Origins Park & Park 571, Ping Tom Park, and then a h a five mile gap between the Riverwalk and Clark Playlot Park, exactly where the North Branch Park and Nature Preserve should be developed.
