MEGA 93.3 & 99.7 FM Move BACK To It Petition
Recently MEGA 93.3 & 99.7 in Austin, Texas switched from the format of dance/house/techno/etc and moved to an R&B/rap/top 40 format. Most of the listeners of the MEGA 99.3 radio station are very displeased with the recent move AWAY from the old format. This petition is intended to show MEGA management that a dance format can succeed in Austin.
Recently KXMG radio owned by the LBJS Broadcasting Company in Austin, Texas switched from the format of dance/house/techno/etc and moved to an R&B/rap/top 40 format. Most of the listeners of the MEGA 99.3 radio station are very displeased with the recent move AWAY from the old format.
We, the listeners, are now trying to gain enough support to show the people in charge that we want the old format back! The goal of this petition is to prove that MEGA can succeed by playing their original music format. The dance community is an untapped market in Austin that is not being reached by any radio station at this time. It is our opinion that management didnt provide a long enough opportunity for the dance market to discover MEGA. There is the potential for MEGA to not only attract listeners from other radio stations, but to actually gain listeners who are not currently reflected in the ratings.
Additionally, enabling webcasting of MEGAs dance content will allow MEGA to reach an even broader dance market and allow MEGAs traditional listeners to tune in while at work and outside of central Texas.
Please fill out this petition to show your support of MEGA 99.3 returning to its roots of dance/house/trance/techno/etc and get away from this new trend of rap/R&B/pop/etc. There is also a place for you to vote on whether you would like to hear webcasting.
