When You Cut Hospitals, Access to Medical Technology Suffers

America's hospitals provide world-class patient care to millions of people, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Yet they've been hit with an astounding $24.5 billion in federal budget cuts since August, 2013.

Every dollar cut has a serious impact on patient care. Hospitals are a proving ground for advancements in medicine, a partnership which has transformed the way surgeries are performed, serious diseases and injuries are treated, and patients are helped to recover and get back to their normal lives.

But if these cuts continue, access to the newest, cutting-edge technology could be reduced for patients all over the country.

Some of our elected officials don't see the benefits of strong hospitals. We can't afford for Washington to play games with the health care of their constituents. Let your members of Congress know you expect access to the best medical technology if you or someone you know needs care at a local hospital.
