Vote with Your Fork and Help Support a More Sustainable Food System

Today, most food in the United States is produced on huge industrial farms that threaten the environment and public health. Fruits and vegetables are grown with synthetic fertilizers and toxic pesticides that pollute soil and waterways and sicken farm workers and consumers. Most meat, eggs and dairy products come from animals raised in confinement on factory farms, which damage the environment, threaten public health, degrade rural communities and compromise animal welfare.

Fortunately, as awareness of these issues grows, more and more farmers are choosing to produce food sustainably. We built the Eat Well Guide to make it easier to find good food and to support local farmers, restaurateurs and others who are doing their best by their customers, their workers and the planet. The Guide is a free, curated directory of more than 25,000 restaurants, farms, farmers' markets, stores and other purveyors of local, sustainable food throughout the US.

Pledge to support a more sustainable food system by using the Eat Well Guide to find sustainable food near you.
