Dumped on an anti-gay island: Help get Nima and Ashkan to safety

Two years ago, Nima escaped his home in Iran because - by law - he could have been killed, just because he's gay.

Nima trekked all the way to Australia, convinced he'd be safe. But Australian immigration turned him away.

They dumped him on the island of Nauru… where it's illegal to be gay.

On Nauru, he met Ashkan who also escaped Iran, and they fell in love. While they're happy to have each other, they're living a nightmare. Nima and Ashkan have been violently beaten on the street, because they're gay.

Australia's detention system is bad for everyone. Their terrible refugee policy is violating basic human rights.

Ask Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to bring Nima and Ashkan to safety and accept their plea for asylum.
