Tell the Placer County Board of Supervisors That our Homeless Residents in Auburn Deserve Better

Let the Placer County Board of Supervisors know you agree that the recently vacated minimum security jail barracks at the Placer County Dewitt Center in Auburn, CA can be transformed, without further delay, into a nighttime Shelter operated by Volunteers of America, an experienced shelter management agency. There will be no cost to the county, as the shelter will be funded through a non-profit group. By signing below you will be letting the Board members know that you believe Placer County Homeless individuals deserve to be able to have clean clothes, socks and shoes, a shower, lockers, and a secure and safe place to sleep so they can more easily avail themselves of health care and job services to get them off the streets permanently. This is a temporary measure while Placer County works on more evidenced based solutions to address the homeless problem in the Auburn area. Winter is here and they need shelter now!
