ACT NOW to help END factory farming!

Nearly 10 billion animals are killed for human consumption each year in the United States — and of those, 99% are raised on factory farms.

These farms (also called Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations, or CAFOs) maximize profits over animals, who are left in filthy, crowded, and stressful conditions. Sick and injured animals are routinely left to suffer for hours or even days without receiving necessary veterinary care. It's time to end these abuses!

Last year, Farm Sanctuary endorsed the Farm System Reform Act, which would restrict the expansion of factory farms. Now we need your help.

Please join Farm Sanctuary by advocating for this common-sense legislation. If the Farm System Reform Act passes, it would prohibit the construction of new factory farms and phase out our country's largest factory farms by 2040.

Urge Congress to end factory farming and prevent farm animal suffering!
Dear Senator / Representative,

Every year in the United States, roughly 10 billion animals are killed for human consumption -- and the overwhelming majority are confined on inhumane "factory farms." These operations have high animal concentrations and produce excessive quantities of toxic waste that pollutes the environment and sickens neighbors.

These industrial farms cut corners to maximize profits at the expense of animals, people, and the planet. Factory farming is an aberration, and it needs to end. The time to act is now.

I urge you to co-sponsor and support the Farm System Reform Act (HR 4421/S 2332) to restrict the expansion and prevent the abuses of factory farms and protect people, animals, and the environment.

Thank you for your time and thoughtful consideration. I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,
[Your name]
