You can help protect the rights of refugees. Make your voice heard at the United Nations General Assembly.

Since August 2017, an estimated 688,000 men, women and children have been forced to flee from violence in Myanmar to neighbouring Bangladesh. UNHCR is on the ground, leading the protection response and delivering life-saving assistance.

Imagine having to run for your life, leaving everything behind at a moment's notice — family members, friends, your home and all of your belongings.

Many Rohingya arrived in Bangladesh with only the clothes on their backs. They recounted horrific experiences of running for their lives from violent clashes, sexual assaults, homes set alight and family members lost or injured during their escape.

Their lives are now in limbo, their future uncertain.

These people did not choose to be refugees. No one does. UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, believes that all refugees deserve to live in safety.

Add your name to the #WithRefugees petition to stand with the Rohingya people and all those forced to flee conflict. UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, will present the final petition to the United Nations General Assembly in 2018.

We stand together #WithRefugees. Please stand with us and help spread the word by sharing this petition with your friends and family today.
