Demand Access to Life Saving Epinephrine Auto Injectors

Food allergy is a serious medical condition affecting up to 15 million people in the United States, including one in 13 children. An allergic reaction can cause anaphylaxis, a serious complication that if not quickly treated with epinephrine, can result in death in minutes.

With recent increases in the cost of epinephrine auto injectors, many families are unable to afford this vital, life-saving prescription. We believe that a single person's injury or death because they cannot afford an epinephrine auto-injector is a preventable tragedy.

Despite the clear need for it, some patients can't afford access to the life-saving treatment because of limited competition in the epinephrine auto injector market, annual price increases not related to any improvement of the product, and unclear cost sharing on many insurance plans.

We can do something about this urgent problem.

Stand with FARE by urging lawmakers to support legislation that will promote improved access to epinephrine, encourage meaningful competition in pricing, support greater transparency in costs across the supply chain for these medicines, and increase innovation in this market. Please, take action today.
