Define Marriage in California

Change the California Constitution to define holy matrimony vs. civil marriage.

This will allow separation of church and state by introducing Sharia like laws for religious organizations to govern holy matrimony. Entering into holy matrimony provides the religious recognition of one man and one woman for the purpose of procreation and cannot be divorced or dissolved by any California state agency.
The change to the California Constitution is as follows:
SEC. 7.5.  Only holy matrimony between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California when consecrated by a member of the clergy and for the purpose of procreation. California recognizes the religious significance of the commitment of holy matrimony and will not grant or recognize divorce. What God has joined together let no man put asunder.

SEC. 7.5.1  A civil marriage between two consenting adults is valid and recognized in California.
We the undersigned believe that California must provide a delineation between church and state in the matter of holy matrimony vs civil marriage. If man and woman seek holy matrimony, they must adhere to the guidelines of their chosen religious organization. Two consenting adults have the option of a civil marriage without restrictions of holy matrimony. Consenting adults can be identified as, but not limited to: members of any gender or gender identity, diverse ethnic backgrounds, member of differing religious organizations, those who are divorced, anyone at or over the age of consent, or social standing.
The following sections will provide for a separation of church and state.

SEC. 7.5.  Only holy matrimony between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California when consecrated by a member of the clergy and for the purpose of procreation. California recognizes the religious significance of the commitment of holy matrimony and will not grant or recognize divorce. What God has joined together let no man put asunder.
