I'm 19 years old and my family has been a member of Costco for as long as I can remember. I had a boyfriend who worked (and still works) at Costco. Last January he physically abused me and got arrested at work. Now I have a restraining order against him that is good for two more years. The order says that he can't come within 500 feet of my house, my workplace, my school, or me. Now I don't feel safe going to the Costco I've been going to all of my life because he works there. I tried talking to the warehouse manager to get him fired or transferred to another Costco but he said that they couldn't do anything about it but that I should get legal advice elsewhere if I wanted. I thought this would be an efficient way of showing that this isn't just. A person should feel safe shopping at a store that they pay to even enter. I could go to another Costco like I've been doing, but it's far away and I feel like I shouldn't have to avoid him. The restraining order makes it clear that HE is the one that is responsible for staying away from me. So please, please sign this petition. It isn't right for someone to abuse someone else and it isn't right that he is getting away with this and I'm still suffering.
