Get Sidewalks on Goodman Road!

Gas prices are soaring. Roads are packed. There are few options in DeSoto County for alternate transportation. The options left are walking and riding a bicycle. Common Sense is that walking and riding a bike on Goodman Road is in not a safe way to commute on the streets. If sidewalks were available for public use, I feel they would be efficiently executed. My proposal for sidewalks is from Highway 301 in Walls, MS down Highway 302 (Goodman Rd.) to Hacks Cross Road in Olive Branch, MS. Along with sidewalks, I want pedestrian walkways and pedestrian crossing signals added at all intersections in proposed area. Taxpayers want to see their money put to good use. I feel this is a way for the people of DeSoto County to see their dollar put to use for their enviroment, safety, and lessening of traffic on the roads. I mentioned the enviroment because the sidewalks will be utilized that leaves less cars on the roads giving our families, children, and ourselves better air to breathe. I feel if this could happen, it can only make DeSoto County a better, happier, and safer place to live.
