Health Canada Red Bull GURU Petition

Dear health oriented Canadian Consumer:

We need your help, URGENTLY.

Here are the ingredients in a can of Red Bull:

Carbonated water, sucrose, glucose, sodium citrate, taurine, glucuronolactone, inositol, niacin, D-pantothenol, pyridoxine HCL, vitamin B12, natural and artificial flavors, colors, synthetic caffeine

Here are the ingredients in a can of GURU:

Sparkling water, organic white grape juice, organic cane juice, lemon juice, natural flavors, guarana seed, salt, echinacea flower, panax ginseng root, ginkgo biloba leaf.

One of these products is the only energy drink in Canada categorized (and promoted) by Health Canada as a NATURAL HEALTH PRODUCT. The other is currently being told to REMOVE its 100% NATURAL labeling. Take a guess on which is which!!! (unbelievable answer below)

GURU, despite its all natural and 91% ORGANIC ingredients (since 1999), is being told to REMOVE the word natural from its labeling. (See Health Canada Letter => http://www.guruenergy.com/health-canada-letter.pdf ).

On the other hand, Red Bull is PROMOTED on Health Canada%u2019s OWN web site as the ONLY approved NATURAL HEALTH PRODUCT energy drink in Canada (Check it out => http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/hl-vs/iyh-vsv/prod/energy-energie-eng.php ).

If, like us, you think this makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER, please click below to sign our petition to the Prime Minister of Canada. We ask him to stop catering to the marketing needs of big foreign owned businesses to the detriment of small Canadian companies like GURU. By doing so, you will help the environment and the health of millions of Canadians!
