The top 3 US automakers have sent out pleas to America asking for support in an effort to save the companies. Both Chrysler and GM have posted YouTube videos about the problem and the potential ripple effect if we loose these companies. Many of us, our parents, family members and friends are employees of one of the Big 3. We need to show our support and do our part to help preserve these big economy players and all the jobs they provide to Americans.
Since many of us are very busy and cannot find the time to write to Congress like we need to be, hopefully a petition and as many signatures and supporters of the Big 3 can help out a little bit.
Think about everyone you know/love who would lose their job and everything else if the Big 3 closed down because we mismanaged the bailout money and gave them to other places that needed it less. None of us want to go through the consequences that would follow the loss of America's biggest automakers and job providers.
This Petition is in support of giving money to the auto companies in a bailout option to help preserve jobs and factories and keep America out of a potential depression! We want to let Congress see ACTUALLY how many people would be affected, instead of an estimate

We the people of the United States are writing to you to show our support of the automakers of the US. We ask that you show support as well by providing them with the means to avoid the closing of the auto companies.
Since the beginning of the automobile, manufacturing companies have provided America with jobs, tradition and an image for the future. With the loss of such companies, the ripple effect would be astronomical. All companies in affiliation with the automakers would also suffer. It would no doubt be a downward spiral for the entire economy.
We ask that you think about what the consequences would be if we lost three of the biggest auto makers in the country. We would be moving away from an American tradition and further the movement of outsourcing. Foreign automakers would then have an opening within our country to become the biggest players of the industry and eventually our country. We need to stay true to America, maintain our American jobs and show support for our families.
Without the companies many families will be jobless and homeless. The job loss will be widespread without a positive outlook for the future. With the recession currently going on, we cannot afford the loss of all the jobs these auto companies provide across America.
As we show our support of those of you in positions of power, and show our trust in your best judgment, we ask that you also show your support for us, as the workforce that drives America. We ask that you not make a move that will put families out of jobs, out of their homes and into a life unfit for the American image as the "Land of Opportunity". Please help in preventing a loss greater than ever seen in American history with the loss of all that is American.
