Say "No!" to Senator Obama's Use of Public Funding

For those of you who have donated to Senator Obama's presidential campaign, this petition is to make our voices heard concerning his decision not to accept public financing during the general election.  Like Senator Obama has repeatedly advised, as a donor, you own a piece of this campaign.  It is my belief that we should give Senator Obama our firm and resounding support to honor our contributions and not accept public financing in the general election. The whole point of public funding is to limit the spending of a candidate because of undue influences from lobbying groups as well as special and corporate interests.  To try to suggest that our donations should be viewed and limited in this same manner in the general election is absolutely nonsensical.   By signing this petition, let's immediately put this issue to rest and not allow the desperate chicanery of Senator McCain to prevail in how Senator Obama competes in this election.
